Girls Spring AAU Evaluation Information & Registrations
Tryout dates will be posted Noon February 20
Tryouts will be held for each age group. During tryouts we will determine if there are enough quality applicants from which to select a team.
Generally there will only be one team from each age group. We do hold the right to combine two grades to make a Select team that will compete at the higher grade level of the combined grades and play in more tournaments than is posted on the prospective tournament schedule. These Select teams will be rare.
What is AAU basketball at 21 HOOPS?
Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball is an opportunity for players at several levels to compete against good competition while developing skills necessary to benefit the players school-based team. Players generally play within their age/grade group.
AAU basketball is for the player who is looking for the opportunity to grow within the sport. Teams participate in tournaments on the weekends and practice one to two times per week.
At 21 Hoops we take pride in making our practices as meaningful as the games. You will be challenged to work on aspects of the game that will make you a more complete player.
Can I play a spring sport? Yes, if you can handle the time commitment. Weekday practices are generally held after 7pm, and tournaments are on the weekends.
